How do I refresh my project state?

Quick Access

This guide explains how to reset your project state in Smart Site Plan to clear temporary map data and restore the initial project view.

Overview

Resetting a project state in Smart Site Plan clears all temporary data displayed on the map, reverting to the initial view when you first opened the project. This action disables toggled features, such as Layers or Overlays, removes any Open Data sources, and resets the map to the project’s default extents. This is not a write action, so no permanent changes are applied to the project.

Locating the Refresh Project State Feature

On Initial Load

Upon visiting Smart Site Plan, locate the Refresh Project State button positioned below the Smart Site Plan logo on the initial screen. Clicking this button resets the project state.

In the Smart Site Plan App

In the app, navigate to the shortcuts toolbar at the top-left of the screen. Look for a red refresh button with an arrow icon. If it is not visible, click the downward arrow on the right side of the toolbar to expand it, revealing the Refresh Project State button. You can drag this button to the shortcuts panel at the top for easier access. Clicking the button prompts a confirmation to reset the project state.
